Deep Root Fertilization
Forest Glenn Tree Care provides deep root fertilization - a specialized process where a high quality
nutrient solution is injected directly into the root zone of trees. The nutrients are injected into the root
zone under pressure which helps provide oxygen to the root system. The soil injection begins just
below the surface and goes to a depth of 12 - 14 inches. Soil injection sites are placed about 2 or 3
feet apart in a grid pattern throughout the canopy area and beyond the drip line.
At Forest Glenn Tree Care, we understand that fertilization is an important part of tree care.
Trees need certain nutrients (essential elements) to be healthful and promote growth. Urban
landscape trees are often growing in soil that does not offer sufficient nutrients for proper growth
and development. In these situations, it may be necessary to fertilize to improve plant health. It is
important to properly fertilize, as improperly applied fertilizer may actually harm the tree. In fact,
some trees may not even require fertilization. The Forest Glenn Tree Care crew has the experience
and skill necessary to ensure the right nutrients are applied correctly, at the right time.
Why fertilize your trees &
shrubs?
In our attempts to create an
aesthetically pleasing urban
landscape, we unwittingly disrupt
the nutrient cycle that trees are
normally a part of in the forest. By
raking up leaves and removing
grass clippings, we deplete the
soil of nutrients over time. This
may result in added stress to trees
and shrubs.
Contact Forest Glenn Tree Care to provide you with a tree and shrub fertilization program designed to keep your plants healthy.
